Chapter 1

I struggled to open my eyes from a deep sleep, I felt sweat glistening from my face and neck. I looked down and saw that I was completely nude and felt groggy. I brushed my hair away from my face and quickly stood up out of the bed and looked around my bedroom. The red and white dress I had on the previous night was now on the floor, along with my panties and bra.
I placed my hand over my forehead, hoping to stop my pounding headache.
What happened? I asked myself. My body stiffened once my eyes darted from the condom on the floor and the sound of water running in the bathroom.
Immediately I thought it was an intruder inside my apartment, without any hesitation I grabbed my silk rode that was inside the closet and covered my nude body. My heart pounded non-stop, my eyes once again darted towards the door, to the door knob. I slightly opened the dresser drawer and grabbed my pocket knife.
“I’m ready for your bitch ass!” I stood straight with my fist balled up and an over, ready for whatever was about to go down.
Suddenly, the intruder turns the doorknob slowly and at that moment, I started to get chills throughout my entire body. I grabbed tightly onto my pocket knife. Abruptly, I felt as if I couldn’t move an inch. My eyes got wider as the person open the door gradually and I closed my eyes, and took it upon myself to   ran over and did a Jackie Chan karate kick in the air, hoping to scare him or her away once the door was completely open.
“What the hell are you doing?” Suddenly a deep manly voice spoke.
I opened my eyes and saw Lil’ T standing in front of me, wearing only a towel wrapped around his waist, exposing his rock hard chest.
“Lil’ T, is that you?” I asked dumbfounded.
“Of course it’s me. Why the hell you acting like Jackie Chan with this karate move and shit?” He looked confused as I was.
“What are you doing here?” My mind was racing. “I know you were here yesterday, but how… did you….and how did our clothes come off and ---”

More reviews are coming in for my new hot novel, It's Not Worth It!!!!

5.0 out 5 star review By Jerrice Owens IT’S NOT WORTH IT describes the toils that a successful blackwoman goes through in order to find the perfect mate. Sexy Felicia searches diligently for a mate with whom she believes she is equally yoked. Refusing to settle for anything less, she is constantly met with much disappointment through various trials in the dating arena. Then when she least expects it, she finally encounters the man of her dreams. So wrapped in her fantasy of being with him, she ignores all warnings from friends and family. When she finally discovers her Mr. Right isn’t how he pretends to be, she’s put herself in a pinning predicament, forcing all future prospects of hers to lower the standards by which she herself judged. I found this story to be a very quick and enjoyable read and would highly recommend it to anyone. The author writes with a sense of realness where problems are presented, but she doesn’t rush to an easy solution. I’m interested to know where things go from here and look forward to reading part two of this' 4.0 out 5 star review By Sandra This was a very entertaining and interesting story from page one to the end. I liked Felicia the main character because her reactions were real and though gullible she was no push over. I only have one compliant- it was too short! I wanted more! I'm sure I will be reading upcoming work by this author.

Author's note

Dear readers

It’s wasn’t always easy but it’s was a pleasure writing my debut novel, Desperate For Love. I hope you enjoy reading this book and I always appreciate the love and support that I receive every day from my family, readers and also other authors.

Before I move on I would like to say, Ladies please recognizes this, how can we expect for a man to love us when we don’t love ourselves. ‘Desperate For Love’ is a story about women that will do and risk anything to just to have a man in their lives- even the no good men.

Ladies, let’s stop settling for the things we don’t deserve. Stop being afraid to be alone, stop telling yourself that you won’t found a good man.
It's time to stop settling and start loving ourselves first.

Find the love you seek, by first find the love within yourself.
